By accessing and using the WhatTrivia website and services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the services in any way that violates applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the services
- Interfere with or disrupt the services
- Use the services to transmit harmful or malicious content
When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate and complete information. Your account is managed through our authentication provider, Clerk. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
By registering a team, you agree to:
- Choose an appropriate team name suitable for all ages
- Follow all game rules and host instructions during events
- Not engage in cheating or unsportsmanlike conduct
- Accept the decisions of WhatTrivia hosts as final
You acknowledge that your team name, scores, standings, achievements, and tournament results will be displayed publicly on our website, including on leaderboards, tournament results pages, and public team profiles.
Team captains may invite other users to join their team by providing their email address. By inviting a user, you represent that you have a reasonable basis to believe they would welcome the invitation. WhatTrivia is not responsible for invitations sent to individuals who did not consent to being contacted.
WhatTrivia hosts tournaments throughout the year. By registering for a tournament, you agree to abide by any tournament-specific rules and guidelines. WhatTrivia reserves the right to modify tournament formats, schedules, and eligibility requirements at its discretion.
WhatTrivia offers private trivia events for corporate functions, fundraisers, parties, and other occasions. Private event bookings are subject to availability and any additional terms provided at the time of booking. Cancellation policies and payment terms will be communicated during the booking process.
Certain services may require payment. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. WhatTrivia does not store your payment card information. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis; please contact us for assistance.
WhatTrivia offers franchising opportunities. Franchise inquiries submitted through our website are for informational purposes only and do not constitute an agreement. Franchising relationships are governed by separate franchise agreements.
The WhatTrivia name, logo, questions, and content are the property of WhatTrivia and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express permission.
WhatTrivia shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the past twelve months.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in the State of Connecticut.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new terms on this page. Your continued use of the services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
